Elder Manufacturing Company’s story began in St. Louis on May 1, 1916. Since then, the company has proudly produced and distributed high-quality men’s and boys’ apparel. From the start, Elder Manufacturing set itself apart by being one of the first in the industry to market its garments under a recognized brand name. In 1918, the company licensed the Tom Sawyer name from the Mark Twain Foundation, a label that has proudly represented Elder Manufacturing’s boys’ clothing ever since.
