Re: California Transparency in Supply Chains Act

On January 1, 2012, the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act will go into effect in the State of California. The Act seeks the elimination of slavery and human trafficking from product supply chains and requires that companies disclose their efforts to ensure that their supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.

At LT Apparel Group, we are committed to:

  • A standard of excellence in every aspect of our business and in every corner of the world;

  • Ethical and responsible conduct in all of our operations; and

  • Respect for the rights of all individuals.

LT Apparel Group requires all vendors, including their designated manufacturing facilities and any third parties involved with any aspect of the manufacturing process,  to maintain the highest level of labor relations to support our commitment to corporate social responsibility.

We take the concerns of involuntary, slave labor and human trafficking in the supply chain very seriously and will not tolerate or engage in business with vendors who violate their local laws.

We work with our retail customer partners to conduct announced social and C-TPAT audits on our vendor factories.

We publish a Supplier Code of Conduct that all vendors, their manufacturing facilities and any third parties involved with any aspect of the manufacturing process, must maintain including adherence to our policies regarding human trafficking and slavery within the supply chain.

We ensure that all LT Apparel Group supplier factories are passing the zero tolerance issues:

  1. No Child Labor.
  2. No Prison, Bonded, Abuse or Harassed Labor.
  3. No Dangerous Health & Safety Environment conditions.
  4. No Access denial.

Our Corporate Supply Chain Vice-President conducts internal training on social issues including human trafficking and slavery to increase awareness and  assess risks.
